FARMINGTON, Mo. -- Porter Jackson Hensley, 78, of Farmington passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Cave Creek, Arkansas, son of James Robert and Arlie Henson Hensley. He and Margarette A. "Margie" Wann were married May 29, 1959...

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- Porter Jackson Hensley, 78, of Farmington passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Cave Creek, Arkansas, son of James Robert and Arlie Henson Hensley. He and Margarette A. "Margie" Wann were married May 29, 1959.

Porter was a member of Farmington First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margarette Hensley of Farmington; three sisters, Maxine (Willard) Christian of Harrison, Arkansas, twin sister Emma Faye Keys and Hazel Lively, both of Jasper, Arkansas; two brothers, Morris (Ruth) Greenhaw of Farmington and William (Cindy) Hensley of Overland Park, Kansas; a brother-in-law, James (Joyce) Wann of Lenexa, Kansas; cousins, Carolyn Allen, Donna Drye and Greg (Jane) Allen, all of Farmington.

Also nephews-in-law, Gary (Sherry) Wann of Overland Park, Dan Wann of Murray, Kentucky, and Brian (Stephanie) Wann of Lenexa; special friends, Jim and Faye Carver of Farmington; numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 8 a.m. Monday at Taylor Funeral & Cremation Service in Farmington, then from 9 a.m. until service time at Farmington First Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with Dr. William C. Miller and the Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will be in Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Farmington First Baptist Church Building Fund.
