Ivan L. Myers, 79, of Patton, Missouri died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 19, 1935, in St. Louis, son of Norman William and Metta Johnson Myers. He and Alice "Pete" Johnson were married Nov. 21, 1956, in St. Louis. Ivan L. Myers, 79, of Patton, Missouri died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 19, 1935, in St. Louis, son of Norman William and Metta Johnson Myers.

He and Alice "Pete" Johnson were married Nov. 21, 1956, in St. Louis. Ivan had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local No. 513. He was a member of West View Masonic Lodge, Millersville, Missouri, and Operating Engineers Local No. 513.

Survivors include his wife, Alice "Pete" Myers of Patton; son, Douglas William Myers of Imperial, Missouri; daughters Kimberly J. Myers of Cape Girardeau and Jennifer L. James of Jackson; a sister, Ruth E. Waldmann of St. Louis; seven grandsons and two great-grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kathryn McCormack; and one grandson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

There will be a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home by West View Masonic Lodge.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Cemetery.
