Jane Unterreiner, nurse navigator for Women's and Children's Services at SoutheastHEALTH, recently received the Devoted Efforts Award from the Southeast Missouri Division of the March of Dimes. Unterreiner was presented with the award "for her big heart, her generosity and her devoted efforts" to the organization, said Beth Simmons, division director for the March of Dimes, in a news release from SoutheastHEALTH.

Local businessman Loyd Ivey has been inducted into the Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame, an honor that recognizes consumer electronics pioneers. The induction of Ivey is by the Consumer Electronics Association. Ivey was chosen for his creation of 8-inch, two-way bookshelf speakers encased in spill- and burn-resistant walnut laminate.
