Andrew Wayne Schlimme, 48, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Whitewater, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, in a motorcycle accident in Tampa. Andrew Wayne Schlimme, 48, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Whitewater, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, in a motorcycle accident in Tampa.

He was born Aug. 1, 1966, in Cape Girardeau, son of Larry Wayne and Haroletta Gertrude Green Schlimme.

Andrew graduated from Jackson High School in 1984 and received an associate degree from Linn Technical School.

He was a member of St. James United Church of Christ in Tilsit.

Andrew served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea.

He was a truck driver for A&M Towing and Road Service in Tampa.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Haroletta Schlimme of Whitewater; two sons, Erik Thomas May of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Matthew Edward Schlimme II of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Crystal Nicole Diffenbach of Hamilton, Ohio; one sister, Angie Elizabeth Schlimme of Burfordville; one grandson, Malichai Paul; and paternal grandmother, Fern Schlimme of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Edward Schlimme.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. James United Church of Christ in Tilsit, with the Rev. James Schultz officiating.

There will be a time for visitation after the service at the church.

Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
