This year's theme is Christmas Carols & Candy Canes. According to the Old Town Cape website, up to 100 decorated floats will be part of the festivities. The parade is in its 23rd year of existence. The Southeast Missourian will open its doors for hot chocolate. Please feel free to stop by and enjoy a festive moment with our employees.

On Friday, Downtown Cape will host another event, the annual downtown Christmas Open House, which includes carolers and sleigh rides, special deals and giveaways.

These downtown events are special, and part of what makes Cape Girardeau feel like home. We hope to see you out and about in the beautiful downtown area this holiday season.
