ADVANCE, Mo. -- James Richard Miederhoff, 69, of Advance passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at his home. He was born Aug. 14, 2014, in New Madrid County, Missouri, son of Andrew H. and Clara Mae Buhs Miederhoff. James was a farmer many years and was a good cattleman. ADVANCE, Mo. -- James Richard Miederhoff, 69, of Advance passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 2014, in New Madrid County, Missouri, son of Andrew H. and Clara Mae Buhs Miederhoff.

James was a farmer many years and was a good cattleman. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Advance. He was a loving, father, brother and uncle.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a son, Brent (Amiee) Miederhoff of Advance; three brothers, Harold Miederhoff of Columbia, Missouri, Pat Miederhoff of Island Springs, Virginia, Paul Miederhoff of Kelso, Missouri; two sisters, Jane Drake and Alice Towe of Sikeston, Missouri.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery Bloomfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Advance High School Future Farmers of America.
