High school roundup: Saxony Lutheran girls basketball team stays unbeaten with win over North County

Brianna Mueller scored 18 points and dished out three assists as the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders remained undefeated with a 56-49 win on the road over the Class 4 powerhouse North County on Thursday.

Grace Mirly netted 18 points and also had three assists for Saxony Lutheran (6-0). Ali Galemmo added 13 points and three assists for the Crusaders.

Holly Forbes recorded a game-high 23 points, and Emily Eaton tossed in 16 points for North County (4-3).

Central takes second at Rockwood Summit Quad

The Tigers took first in four events to edge out host Rockwood Summit by one point, finishing second in a quad meet in the suburban St. Louis area.

Central's Josey Powell posted first-place times in the 200 freestyle (2:09.70) and 100 butterfly (1:10.45) to help lead the Tigers. Maddy McDonald also won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 32.25 seconds for Central.
