Marian White

Marian Lester White, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 25, 1944, in St. Louis to Robert and Nancy Lester Elayer. She and David White were married Feb. 23, 1962, in Wayne County, Missouri.

Marian was a member of Bethany Baptist Church more than 15 years and member of its Joy Club. She had worked as secretary and bookkeeper for the family accounting firm.

Survivors include her husband, David White of Cape Girardeau; her mother, Nancy Elayer of Piedmont, Missouri; two sons, James David White of Jackson and Joseph Lester (Michele) White of St. Peters, Missouri; a brother, Joseph Elayer of Pukalani Maui, Hawaii; two sisters, Nan Elayer of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Susan Elayer of Patterson, Missouri; three grandchildren, Robert White of Jackson, Austin Taylor and Megan Taylor of St. Peters; and a niece, Caitlin (Joel) Batton of Piedmont.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A graveside service will be held at noon Dec. 20 at Patterson Cemetery in Patterson, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

A luncheon will follow immediately for family and friends at Patterson Community Center.
