STEELE, Mo. -- A Steele woman was arrested Christmas Eve after trying to stab her husband, then attempting to strike a police officer, the Standard Democrat reported. Billy Joe Stanfield, Steele chief of police, reported Monday that officers were called to the Pecan Acres Trailer Park on Dec. 24 to investigate a report of a woman trying to stab her husband with a knife. When the officers tried take her into custody, the 50-year-old woman took a swing at one's face. The woman was arrested and handcuffed. She was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail, where she was charged with domestic assault, resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer.
