Jerrick W. Myers and Christopher C. Wakefield have joined Troop E of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Both are members of the patrol's 99th recruit class and graduated from the patrol academy Dec. 19. Myers is from Jackson and has been assigned to serve zone 4, which consists of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau and Scott counties. He is a graduate of Jackson High School and holds a bachelor's of science degree in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University. His field training officer will be Cpl. M. Todd Turlington. Wakefield, of Bismark, Missouri, has been assigned to zone 7, serving Mississippi, New Madrid and Scott counties. He is a graduate of Bismarck High School and worked for the Iron County Sheriff's Department. Wakefield's field training officer will be trooper Kendall G. Hampton. The new troopers will report for duty Monday.
