Portia Harris

Portia Briana Harris, 23, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Dec. 4, 1991, in Cape Girardeau, to Keith J. Harris and Rene A. Swader.

Portia attended New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Rene A. Swader; father, Keith J. Harris; two sons, Keone J. Harris and Lashon Bell; a daughter, Amaiyah Eliana Edwards; a brother, Deven Harris, all of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Kendra Ayers of St. Louis and Kadesia Harris of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandparents, Larry and Ernestine Swader of Cape Girardeau; and paternal grandmother, Elnora Harris of Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call from noon until service time Thursday at New Bethel Church.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Joseph Cotton officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
