William J. "Bill" Bell, 66, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at Southeast Hospital.

He was born May 4, 1948, in Cape Girardeau to the late Charles Russell and Vanita (Logel) Bell.

He and Marilyn Fee were married July 18, 1970, at St. Mary's of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

Bill graduated from Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He was a lifetime member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

He held positions of management at area restaurants. Bill had a special talent for home construction and was a gifted finish carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking, building and designing cabinetry and furniture.

Bill was an avid fisherman and enjoyed all outdoor activities. He especially liked going to out-of-the-way restaurants and his wife's cooking, but just no leftovers.

Loving survivors include his wife; three children, Darren (Denise) Bell, Jennifer (Steve) Coy and Stephanie (Jay) Stencel; eight grandchildren, Andrew and Delaney Bell, Russell, Lily and Sawyer Coy, Will, Cole and Sophia Stencel; mother-in-law, Iva Fee; two brothers, Mike (Donna) Bell and Chuck (Loretta) Bell; nieces, nephews, cousins. He is also remembered by special friends and neighbors and most especially by Alice, his dog.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish Prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father David Hulshof officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Notre Dame School Foundation, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or the Salvation Army.
