BENTON, Mo. -- Shirley Ann Hobbs, 79, of Benton, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 28, 1935, in Cape Girardeau to William Oscar and Norma Elma Cobb Adams.

She and Delano Hobbs were married Sept. 6, 1951, at Cape Girardeau.

Shirley was a bookkeeper at Vons Grocery Co. in Pasadena, California, for over 20 years. She retired in 1988 and moved back to Cape Girardeau. She and her husband were owners/operators of Country Pride Antique on Broadway and Vicky Lynns Old Time Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street. Later they opened Country Pride Antique Mall in Benton, retiring again in 2006.

She was a member of First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband, Delano Hobbs of Benton; daughter, Vicky L. Moyers of Benton; three sons, Harrell B. Hobbs, Darrell W. (Jan) Hobbs and Steven D. (Jodi) Hobbs, all of Cape Girardeau; sister, Janis Bowerman of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.

Burial will be at Fairmont Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Youth Dept. at First General Baptist Churchin Cape Girardeau.
