A snowy and icy week for Southeast Missouri basketball teams ended Saturday with the cancellation of more games, this time claiming the opening round of numerous district tournaments in the area.

Classes 1-3 district tournaments that were scheduled to open Saturday were pushed back to Monday after Friday night's ice storm made for hazardous travel conditions. The cancellations came on the heels of early week snow storms and frigid temperatures that pretty well wiped out the week's regular-season games with the exception of some of Thursday night's slate.

The adjusted district schedules pushed back the first-round games as well as semifinals. Some tournaments will keep their title games on the originally scheduled date, but others will move back a day.

In Class 1 District 2 boys in Bell City, Missouri, first-round games will be played Monday, semifinals at 6 p.m and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and the title game at its original slot at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

In Class 1 District 3 boys at Anapolis, Missouri, first-round games were pushed back to Monday, semifinals to 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, but the championship game will hold its spot at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

In Class 2 District 1 boys at Bloomfield, Missouri, first-round games were pushed back to Tuesday, semifinals were pushed back to 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Thursday. The title game, originally slated for Thursday, will be played at 7:15 p.m. Friday.

In Class 2 District 3 boys at Bismark, Missouri, first-round games will be played Tuesday, with the semifinals both pushed back a day. The semifinals now will be played at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Thursday and the championship game at 7:15 p.m. Friday.
