MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- A man accused of murder appeared in court Wednesday for the first time since April.

Lonnie Liley, 43, and his public defender, Chris Davis, appeared before Judge Joe Satterfield at the Bollinger County Courthouse.

After some discussion with the prosecution and defense attorneys, Satterfield set Liley's trial for Nov. 16 through 19 in Bollinger County. The prosecution team, which is made up of special prosecutor Kevin Michael Zoellner and Bollinger County Prosecuting Attorney Heath Robins, estimated it would take about half a day for jury selection and three full days for the trial.

Satterfield set the pretrial hearing for 9 a.m. Sept. 28, in anticipation of motions to suppress some evidence that could be filed by the defense.
