SIKESTON, Mo. -- A Sikeston man wanted in a March 7 shooting is in custody.

Tevin Golden, 20, was arrested Monday afternoon by officers from the Special Operations Group of the Sikeston Department of Public Safety after a search warrant was obtained for 162 Lee St. Sikeston police Capt. Jim McMillen said after officers surrounded the house, Golden came out peacefully.

Golden is charged with the felonies of unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm for the incident that occurred about 2:45 a.m. March 7 at the Branum Street and Lora Avenue intersection in Sikeston.

During the incident, a man was shot in the head but suffered only minor injuries.

"A passenger (Tevin Golden) in the car responded to the hospital with the shooting victim but left before investigators could question him about evidence found later," McMillen said in a news release. "After processing the car, detectives were attracted to the fact the vehicle contained evidence of Golden possibly being armed and possibly shooting from their vehicle."

Golden also is believed to be involved in a second shooting about 11 a.m. March 9 at the Jackson and Jaycee streets intersection.
