Semoball Awards finalists to be announced Saturday

The winter sports finalists for the Semoball Awards will be announced Saturday morning at Harry Blackwell Dodge in Dexter, Missouri.

The 10 finalists for boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling and girls swimming will be revealed at the 10 a.m. event.

A live broadcast of the hour-long show can be heard on SEMO ESPN radio (92.9 FM, 1220 AM and 1470 AM) as part of the Saturday Morning Express show. The public is encouraged to attend the event, which will include free food and several giveaways. There also will be a registration box where attendees can sign up to win a Samsung Galaxy tablet or a 40-inch LED HD Emerson television.

The Semoball Awards, which will take place July 11 at the Southeast Missouri State River Campus and feature Olympic softball champion Jennie Finch as the keynote speaker, are also being sponsored by Athlon Sports, the St. Louis Cardinals, SoutheastHEALTH and First Midwest Bank.
