Myrtle Ann Stephens, 65, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 17, 2015, at her home.

She was born Feb. 5, 1950, in Fornfelt (Scott City), to Carl Clore and Effie Mae Morris Pedigo. She and Edward T. "Eddie" Stephens were married Jan. 1, 1994, in East Cape Girardeau, Illinois. He preceded her in death Dec. 25, 2007.

Myrtle worked at Thorngate more than 30 years, and at Sam's Club 14 years. She was a member of East Cape Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing games, listening to music, and watching movies. Her most loved possessions on earth were her grandchildren and great-granddaughters.

Survivors include a daughter, Angela "Angel" (David) Doria of Scott City; two stepsons, Jeff Stephens of Cape Girardeau and Kevin Stephens of Creal Springs, Illinois; two brothers, Chester K. "Chuck" (Sherra) Pedigo of Jonesboro, Illinois, and Arthur D. (Nancy) Pedigo of Keysville, Virginia; a sister, Janet C. (Charles) Dillman of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Vincent Joseph (Madison Craigmiles) Doria, Moriah Kayann Doria, Hailey (Jeff) Moore and Cameron Stephens; two great-granddaughters, Greta L. Doria and Brylynn J. Moore; four nephews; and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Merlin L. Miller.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeremy Sells officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.

Memorial contributions may be given to Kenny Rogers Children's Center, 300 Floyd Drive, Sikeston, MO 63801.
