Thelma Sue Schade, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 20, 2015, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 1, 1944, in Covington, Tennessee, to Robert Lester and Ruby Mae Delashmit Allbritton. Thelma moved to Missouri in 1954 and has lived in Cape Girardeau since 1992. She was employed as a certified medical technician at Charleston Manor and later at Cape LaCroix Nursing Home until she retired in 1987...

Thelma Sue Schade, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 20, 2015, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 1, 1944, in Covington, Tennessee, to Robert Lester and Ruby Mae Delashmit Allbritton.

Thelma moved to Missouri in 1954 and has lived in Cape Girardeau since 1992. She was employed as a certified medical technician at Charleston Manor and later at Cape LaCroix Nursing Home until she retired in 1987.

She was first married to Floyd Vernon "Tuffy" Bender, who preceded her in death in 1969. On March 3, 1972, she married Lonnie Edward Schade.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Robert (Phyris) Bender of Lockwood, Missouri, and Floyd V. "Rocky" (Barbara) Bender of Kennesaw, Georgia; a daughter, Lorri Ann Fann of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Lois Marie Housman of Carpinteria, California, and Ida Pearl Davidson of Matthews, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Mary Keene Burke of Charleston and Carolyn Allbritton of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Corey Alin (Tammi) Bender, Corey James Fann, Nichole Aaron, Daniel Smith and Jenna Kaye Bender; four great-grandchildren, Remi Bender, Jena Bender, Ashlyn Bender and Dominic Bender; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend and neighbor Yvonne Miller of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Luther Allbritton, a veteran of the Korean War declared missing in action in 1953, and Russell Berlin Allbritton; and a sister, Mary Alice Clines.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:45 p.m. today at IOOF Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Floyd V. Bender Jr., Charles R. Bender, Mark Thomas, Jimmy Housman, Raymond Butler and Corey Fann.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
