James L. "Mack" McFatridge III, 45, of Jackson passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, at his home. He was born May 11, 1969, in West Memphis, Arkansas, son of James L. and Betty Felts McFatridge II. James L. "Mack" McFatridge III, 45, of Jackson passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, at his home.

He was born May 11, 1969, in West Memphis, Arkansas, son of James L. and Betty Felts McFatridge II.

He and Heidi Reed were married Oct. 27, 2010, in Cape Girardeau. Mack was a 1987 graduate of Osceola High School in Osceola, Arkansas, where he was a member of the football team.

He was a veteran and was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. He moved to Jackson in 2000 and worked as a lineman for the City of Jackson for 15 years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Dallas Cowboys football and Nascar fan.

Loving survivors include his wife, Heidi, of Jackson; his father, James, and stepmother, Betty McFatridge; two sisters, Becky (Joe) Fore and Michelle Brown, both of Osceola; a stepbrother, Michael (Gina) McGuirt; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Shirley Reed of Oconto, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Debbie (Rick) Duffy of Jackson; their sons, Brandon and Blake; many more nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Chopper.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Carol McFatridge-Jones.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Osceola.

The memorial service will be at 6 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Michael Lloyd officiating.

Inurnment will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Oconto.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to McCombs Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
