PULASKI, Ill. -- Oliver A. "Junior" McClellan Jr., 89, of Pulaski passed away Monday, May 4, 2015, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Illinois.
He was born Aug. 28, 1925, in Pulaski, son of Oliver A. "Gus" and Essie Mize McClellan Sr.
Junior was a member of the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City, Illinois, and a member of Alexander-Pulaski County Sportsmen's Club in Miller City, Illinois.
He was a produce farmer for many years in Pulaski.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue (Bobby) Bigham of Cairo and Candy (John) Eastwood of Karnak, Illinois; an honorary son, Gary Severs of Villa Ridge, Illinois; four sisters, Marie Foster of Pulaski, Marilea Bagby of Villa Ridge, Dorothy Gibbs of Mounds and Louise Newell of Pulaski; five grandchildren, Brad, Shad, Angie and Betsy Bigham and Ashley Dexter; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Koonce McClellan; a daughter, Mary Helen McClellan; and two brothers, Owen and Carl McClellan.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorials made to Daystar Care Center in Cairo in memory of Junior McClellan.
