Southeast Missouri State senior outfielder Kayla Fortner was selected first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference, one of three Redhawks to be honored at Tuesday night's pre-tournament banquet in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Senior first baseman Lindsey Patterson was selected to the second team, while freshman pitcher Madeline Krumrey was named to the All-Newcomer team.

Fortner set Southeast's single-season records with 16 home runs and 35 walks. She also has 48 RBIs, which is tied with the school's single-season mark. She leads the OVC in home runs, slugging percentage (.863) and on-base percentage (.531). She also leads the Redhawks with a .403 batting average, 40 runs scored and nine doubles.

Patterson is second on the team with a .357 batting average with a team-high 51 hits. She also is second in runs (28), home runs (7), on-base percentage (.408) and slugging percentage (.545).

Krumrey has compiled a 13-10 record and 3.66 ERA. She leads the team with 13 complete games, two shutouts, two saves, 90 strikeouts and 166 1/3 innings pitched.

Murray State's Jessica Waddle was named the OVC's Offensive Player of the Year, while Southern Illinois Edwardsville's Haley Chambers was named Pitcher of the Year. SIUE's Baylee Douglas was named Freshman of the Year, and the Cougars' Sandy Montgomery was selected Coach of the Year.
