NovaCopy and the Missouri Innovation Corp. at Southeast Missouri State University will host a series of free 3-D printing and scanning workshops Tuesday and Wednesday.

The workshops will feature demonstrations of the latest 3-D technologies, discussion of trends and applications and opportunities for business owners and entrepreneurs to learn how they might incorporate such technologies into their businesses, according to a news release from the university.

"3D printing and scanning technology has recently experienced rapid growth," Eric Nation, document solutions specialist for NovaCopy, said in the release. "My hope with these seminars is that attendees will strike new partnerships in the community and streamline their business based on the practical applications 3D scanning and printing technology offers."

The workshops are scheduled from 9 to 10:30 a.m., from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 3:30 p.m. both days at the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, 920 Broadway in Cape Girardeau.
