Barb A. Ward, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born June 28, 1944, in Patterson, Missouri, to John and Mae Lathim Lutes. She and Harold O. Ward were married July 27, 1962, at Piedmont, Missouri.

Barb was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. She worked 40 years in various law offices in Piedmont, Jackson and Cape Girardeau. She was part owner and co-founder of Ward Title Co. She took pride and was very active in many civic and charitable affairs.

Survivors include her husband, Harold O. Ward of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Kevin Ward and Kent (Jennifer) Ward of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Charles (Wanda) Lutes and Johnny Dale (Terry) Lutes of Patterson; a sister, Judy (Steve) Duncan of Jackson; and five grandchildren, Jordan Ward, Kaleb Ward, Taylor Ward, Brayden Ward and Parker Ward.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dave Parmely officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
