The Notre Dame doubles team of Brendan Boswell and John Stroup finished its season at the Class 1 state tournament at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri, on Friday.

The duo faced Ben Remis and Louis Rodgers from John Burroughs, which finished second in the team standings, in the first round and lost 6-0, 6-0. Remis and Rodgers went on to finish in seventh place by defeating the Dexter team of Ethan Flowers and Noah Kronk.

Boswell and Stroup's season ended with an 8-3 loss to Kirksville's Tyler Hanson and Christian Polovich in the first round of the consolation bracket.

William Tong and Kenji Yanaba of Parkway West won the title.
