Dee Dee Brown Wilson, 54, of Cape Girardeau passed peacefully Sunday, June 7, 2015, at home, surrounded by family and close friends, after a valiant 10-year battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born June 26, 1960, in St. Louis to David B. and Gladys Louise Riston Brown.

She and Windall Wilson were married May 29, 1982, at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Dee Dee was a graduate of Shawnee High School in Wolf Lake, Illinois, and Southeast Missouri State University. She was an Alpha Delta Pi alumnus and also served as an adviser for the sorority.

She has been a manager for Kohl's since 2004.

She was a member of LaCroix United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Windall Wilson of Cape Girardeau; son and daughters, Andrew Clayborn Wilson, Mallory Christine (Ryan) Gibson and Macy Elizabeth (fiance, Sean Mills) Wilson, all of Cape Girardeau; grandchild, Evelyn Grace Gibson; niece, Regina (Adam) Wilson and great-nephew, Derek Adams of Cape Girardeau, nephew, David Keith (Trish) Brown, niece, Angie Duran, and nephew, John (Julie) Hadjioannou, all of the Chicago area.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Louise Brown.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at LaCroix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
