During an interview with police, the victim said she had passed out on the living room couch after becoming intoxicated and awoke to Anderson performing sex acts on her. She said she pushed Anderson away and left the home without her shoes and a cell phone.

She said she tried to contact neighbors, but the door was locked. She returned to the house and called a friend on her phone, and they left.

Anderson told police the sex was consensual, and the girl became upset and left when he told her he couldn't have full intercourse with her.
