Jim Brown

James Wayne "Jim" Brown, 57, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at his home.

He was born Dec. 6, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, to Robert Charles and Dorothy Jean Whitson Brown Sr. He and Crystal Lucey were married Dec. 13, 1975, in Cape Girardeau.

Jim was the lead person 27 years in the heating and air conditioning facilities management department at Southeast Missouri State University. He was heavily involved in Boy Scouts of America as adult trainer and leader, and also as a member of Order of the Arrow Brotherhood. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.

He loved eagles and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Survivors include his wife, Crystal Brown; two sons, William and Michael Brown; a daughter, Aimee Brown, all of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Robert "Charlie" (Doreen) Brown of Cape Girardeau, Fred (Laura Lee) Brown of Oran, Missouri, and Joseph Lynn Brown of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Linda Kathryn Williams of Cape Girardeau; three grandsons; and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Charles Brown Sr.; mother, Dorothy Jean Whitson Brown; and a sister, Rebecca Jean Foister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark Church, with the Rev. S. Michael Malone officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society.
