Award Nickel
Dr. Frank Nickell, assistant director of the State Historical Society of Missouri and retired Southeast Missouri State University history professor, stands in front of photos of Allen Laws Oliver and his wife. Nickell recently made a presentation to the Sons of American Revolution, Allen Laws Oliver chapter, about Oliver, the papers of whom were donated to the State Historical Society of Missouri. Oliver was national SAR president in 1946, and the local chapter is named for him.
