Cape's North Main Street to undergo repairs Monday

Part of North Main Street in Cape Girardeau will be closed starting Monday as crews begin pavement work.

The area affected by the work will be from Broadway to Park Drive.

The work will cause both lanes of traffic to be closed, with signs marking a detour. Signs will be placed at Broadway and Middle Street and Main Street and Park Drive. Work is expected to last one week, weather permitting, the city said.

Drivers are asked to use caution while work is underway.
