Rodney W. "Red" Riehn, 65, of Millersville died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to Hobert Freddie and Nelda Jean Abbott Riehn. He and Debra "Debbie" Hartle were married Saturday, Dec. 12, 1987, at Millersville.

He graduated from Jackson High School in 1967. Rodney was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Vietnam. Rodney had worked for Rushing Marine, Metco River Towing and Phoenix Towing as chief engineer. He was a member of the Masonic West View Lodge No. 103 in Millersville.

Survivors include his wife, Debra "Debbie" Riehn; daughter, Shyanna Marie Riehn; son, Rodney W. "Butch" Riehn II, all of Millersville; granddaughter, Madylin Rose; brothers, Rocky L. Riehn of McDonough, Georgia, and Ronald F. Riehn of Yokota AFB, Japan; sister, Rhonda K. Moore of Pocahontas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Masonic service will be at 7 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating. Burial will be at Niswonger Cemetery in Millersville with full military honors by the Missouri Honors Team.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family or the Missouri Veterans Home.
