Sally Lovell

McCLURE, Ill. -- Sally Jane Lovell, 77, of McClure died Friday, July 17, 2015, at her home.

She was born Nov. 9, 1937, in Oriole to Glenn S. and Mable H. Kassel Johnson. She and Raymond Louis "Chub" Lovell were married Aug. 21, 1964, at Cape Girardeau. He passed away Aug. 30, 2004.

She graduated from College High School in Cape Girardeau.

Sally had worked for Colonial Tavern in Cape Girardeau, the Purple Crackle in East Cape Girardeau, Illinois, and Fox's Hollow in East Cape Girardeau, where she was known as the Pie Lady. She had worked for serval local restaurants in the area.

Survivors include sisters, Glennetta Houck of Cape Girardeau and Elisha Nemeth of San Diego; half-sister, Nancy Burroughs of Arnold, Missouri; stepsister, Sue Coomer of Scott City; half-brothers, Sam Johnson of Dutchtown and Steve Johnson of Cape Girardeau; stepbrother, Ronnie May of Frenchville, Missouri; aunt, Dorothy McClain of Cape Girardeau; sister-in-law, Lucille Woodard of McClure; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Morrison officiating. Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.

Memorial contributions may be given to Lindsey Cemetery Fund.
