Half-naked 'Spartans' cause stir in Beijing

BEIJING -- A salad store paraded dozens of half-naked Western men dressed as Spartans through China's capital as a publicity stunt, drawing a crackdown by police. About 40 men wearing bronze shorts, arm and leg guards and capes marched in Beijing's central business district and an upscale shopping area Wednesday, bearing plastic tubs of salad. The store, Sweetie Salad, said the stunt to celebrate its one-year anniversary generated more interest than expected.
