Thomas R. "Tom" Kuehn Sr., 71, of Jackson passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

One of 12 children, he was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Cape Girardeau to John M. and Jennetta Henrietta Goza Kuehn.

Tom attended Jackson High School. His employment included Blair Industries, Rust and Martin, Younghouse Distributing and Havco, all in Cape Girardeau. His favorite job was custodian at Connection Point Church in Jackson, retiring in 2013. He also owned and operated a lawn-care business many years.

He was a longtime, faithful member of Connection Point Church, and an avid league bowler at Jackson Lanes.

Loving survivors include his wife, Jeryl of Jackson; four children, Donna (Leland "Lee") May of Allenville, Thomas R. Kuehn II of Cape Girardeau, David H. Barberis II of Scott City and Pam Koehler of Jackson; 13 grandchildren, Jacob May and fiancee Kristie Sweet, Wade T. (Brandi) May, Alexis Williams, Samantha Kuehn, Cody Fornkohl, Skylar Kuehn and fiance Jake Scroggins, Daniel Barberis, Trey, Raelyn, Kiya, Amiyah, Layla and Tyton Koehler; and four great-grandchildren and one expected in February.

He was preceded in death by 11 siblings, Bill, Jim, Jack, Joe, and Gustave "G.B." Kuehn, Helen Felty, Geraldine Brennecke, Kate Gibbar, Clara Kuehn, Rose Welker and Francis Milz; and his parents.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Kevin Mann and Chris Vaught officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Connection Point Church.
