Fuel for fire

Someone called in and said they couldn't figure out how Obama got gas prices to go down. Well, first of all, "down" is relative. But he got them to go down slightly by selling out Israel and conceding to the country that is the largest source of terrorism in the world. Simply put, he betrayed Israel and helped put nuclear capability in the hands of those who have blatantly said they want to annihilate Israel and the U.S. Do you still love those "low" gas prices now?

GOP, shootings

As for blaming Republicans for the recent shootings, how about blaming the folks who have been raised to have no respect for the law, authority or their fellow citizens? Most everyone I know owns a gun, and not one of them has ever used it in a violent way or to injure another human being. It's not the gun, nor is it the NRA or the Republicans who are the problem. It's a segment of our population that breaks any law and thinks they should be able to blame someone else. The other problem is folks like the caller who adds fuel to that ridiculous fire!

Wait and see

Notice when there is some disruption in the market, gas prices go up immediately. Well, prices have dropped a lot on the open market lately and our pump prices should be $2.10 per gallon today, Aug. 4, 2015. Let's see how long it takes to see those prices.

Boo, hiss

Phooey on FOX for consigning the two Rick's (Perry and Santorum) to the kiddy's table in the first Republican presidential debate.

Waffling Hillary

Well, I see today where Hillary Clinton has changed her mind about Planned Parenthood. Last week she was disgusted at the things shown on TV, where they were talking about selling body parts and picking out the parts. This week she's with Planned Parenthood and this is just a war on women. How is it a war on women? They have their abortion. Now we're talking about the baby, the baby that they're taking apart and selling piece by piece like you would a chicken. I think this is disgusting. I think if we don't get somebody in the White House that has a little bit of morals and thinking about our country, we are doomed.

Pothole plea

I guess the city fathers are too busy dreaming up projects and wasteful spending to spend the money on, rather than fixing the potholes in the city streets. Again, Caruthers has potholes so big I'm afraid when school starts they're going to be missing small children in some of those potholes.

Might's not right

Have you ever noticed how the FBI, the IRS, goes after the little guys that don't have the power to fight back? At the same time, our big-ticket politicians get by with everything? They don't break any laws, so, of course, they aren't held accountable. I get sick and tired of it.
