Kimberly Jean Penny, 26, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Jan. 6, 1989, in Columbus, Texas, to Jon D. and R. Denise Bryant Keltie. Kimberly graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High in 2007 and received her certified nursing assistant diploma while in high school. Kimberly Jean Penny, 26, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Jan. 6, 1989, in Columbus, Texas, to Jon D. and R. Denise Bryant Keltie.

Kimberly graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High in 2007 and received her certified nursing assistant diploma while in high school. She became a licensed practical nurse in 2010 and a registerd nurse in 2012. She was employed by Saint Francis Medical Center.

She and Sam Houston Penny were married Oct. 2, 2010, in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of the Jackson Gospel Chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Houston Penny of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Olivia Jean Penny of Cape Girardeau; her father, Jon D. Keltie of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Jon J. Keltie of Tamms, Illinois; and a mother- and father-in-law, Shelly and Steven Penny of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her mother, R. Denise Keltie on Oct. 2, 2014.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Eric Michelson and Randy McWilson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family of Kimberly Jean Penny for the education of Olivia Jean Penny.
