CHAFFEE, Mo. -- The Rev. Donald Reed Osborne, 68, of Chaffee passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2015, at SoutheastHEALTH in Cape Girardeau.

Donald was born in Independence, Virginia, on July 10, 1947, to the late Lester Reed and Ella Mae Mullins Osborne. He married Phyllis Perren on Aug. 26, 1967. She survives.

He was a minister and member of the Living Word Tabernacle in Gibson, Missouri.

Donald answered the call to become a minister at a very early age, and it was during a weekend church service he met his bride and they married six weeks later. Love at first sight is real, and their 48 year romance proves it. He and his talented wife traveled the country preaching and singing. Don made several trips to the mission field, taking Bibles and shoes and ministering to the people. He had a big heart full of love, and we can't wait to see him again.
