Eddie A. Claar Sr., 69, of Cape Girardeau passed away at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at Southeast Hospital. He was born March 20, 1946, in Chicago to Edwin and Dorcie Loy Claar. Eddie A. Claar Sr., 69, of Cape Girardeau passed away at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born March 20, 1946, in Chicago to Edwin and Dorcie Loy Claar. He married Sharon Lowery on July 22, 1967.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Eddie Claar Jr. of Galveston, Texas, and Robert Claar of Jackson; one daughter, Buffy Bastien of Murphysboro, Illinois; seven grandchildren; one brother, Mike Claar of Centralia, Illinois; three sisters, Connie Glazer and Kim Silvagnoli, both of St. Louis, and Jackie Mason of Cape Girardeau; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Richard and Wally Claar.

Family and friends may gather from 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial services for Eddie Claar will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
