MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Pastor Darrel L. Douglas, 76, of Marble Hill passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Oct. 12, 1938, in St. Louis, son of Clarence M. and Lona L. Abernathy Douglas. He and Elsie M. Seabaugh were united in marriage Oct. 24, 1964, and she passed away Oct. 30, 1992...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Pastor Darrel L. Douglas, 76, of Marble Hill passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Oct. 12, 1938, in St. Louis, son of Clarence M. and Lona L. Abernathy Douglas. He and Elsie M. Seabaugh were united in marriage Oct. 24, 1964, and she passed away Oct. 30, 1992.

He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force, was a pastor, worked for the Bollinger County Highway Department and was a member of the Post Oak Church.

Survivors include three sons, Terry W. Douglas of Patton, Missouri, Chris L. Douglas of Marble Hill and Darrel L. Douglas of Spokane, Washington; three daughters, Sherri D. Long of Bloomfield, Missouri, Tina M. Yount of Marble Hill and Teresa R. Allen of Leopold, Missouri; a brother, Clarence Douglas Jr. of Arkansas; four sisters, Ernestine Strong of Marble Hill, Marceda Long of Marble Hill, Maretta Lowes of Jackson and Carolyn Sue Rogers of Texas; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Velta Douglas; and a granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with pastor Terry Douglas, pastor Chris Douglas and pastor Elijah Allen officiating. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery near Scopus, Missouri.

Memorials may be given to the Post Oak Church.
