Part of Fountain Street to be closed today

Part of Fountain Street will be closed today as Cape Girardeau public works crews complete the last portion of an asphalt overlay.

Work will be done in the section between Themis and Independence streets from 7 a.m. through early afternoon today.

The city asks residents and visitors not park on the street during that time so the work can be finished. More information is available by calling the development services department at (573) 339-6327.
