Attempted-rape suspect sought by Sikeston police

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Police are searching for a Sikeston man wanted on charges of attempted sexual assault.

Anthony Price, 21, is wanted by the Scott County prosecutor's office for charges of attempted rape, according to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.

The charges stem from an allegation of an attempted sexual assault Aug. 28.

"Specific details of this incident have not been included in order to safeguard the privacy of the victim in this case," Capt. John McMillen, public information officer for Sikeston DPS, said in a news release.

Anyone with information on Price's whereabouts is asked to call Sikeston DPS at (573) 471-4711.

Anyone with information that leads to his arrest can be eligible for a cash reward. All tips can remain anonymous.
