Dorothy Sue Miller, 74, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at her home. She was born Dec. 16, 1940, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late Ozzie Moses and Nettie Elizabeth Gilbert Vandergriff. She and Gary Miller Sr. were married June 30, 1957, in Corinth, Mississippi. Dorothy Sue Miller, 74, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at her home.

She was born Dec. 16, 1940, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late Ozzie Moses and Nettie Elizabeth Gilbert Vandergriff.

She and Gary Miller Sr. were married June 30, 1957, in Corinth, Mississippi. He preceded her in death Jan. 5, 2000.

Dorothy was a member of Cape First Church, was a real-estate broker agent for more than 40 years and was past member of the Board of Realtors. She cherished her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Jim) Rohde of Friedheim, Missouri, and Carla (John) Hedrick of Cape Girardeau; son Gary "Jackie" (Michelle) Miller Jr. of Cape Girardeau; daughter-in-law, Lisa Miller of Jackson; seven grandchildren, Lucas and Lance Rohde, Jessica Hedrick, Alicia (Jesse) Evans, Trey (Lauren) Miller and Roxanna and Garrett Miller; great-grandson, Aiden Miller; sister-in-law, Judy (Ray) Hilton of Cumberland, Rhode Island; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Gregory Miller; and a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Bob Seifert.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Graham will be officiating.

Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
