A Google startup competition is returning to Cape Girardeau.

Codefi, a local coworking space and technology incubator, has announced Startup Weekend, a Google for Entrepreneurs-powered event, will be Nov. 13 through 15.

The first night of the event, entrepreneurs, developers and designers pitch their ideas, according to a news release from Codefi. Groups then are formed and begin to get customer feedback and build a solution.

At the end of the weekend, the groups make their presentations to judges.

Winning teams receive $3,000 in services from Codefi, support from local entrepreneurs and a chance to make a pitch before the 1ST50K startup competition committee in December.
