The Bloomfield volleyball team defeated host Woodland 25-19, 28-26 in straight sets Thursday to shake up the Stoddard County Athletics Association Conference.

Krista Rhodes recorded 11 kills and 10 digs to pace the Cardinals (13-5-2, 1-2 SCAA Conference), while Shelby Sawyer tallied nine kills and seven digs. Emma Rinacke notched four kills and three assists for Woodland, and Madison Cover contributed 12 assists and two digs. Anna Deck had 11 assists and four digs, and Chelsea Cureton added 14 digs to pace the Cardinals defensively.

Bloomfield improved to 6-7-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

JV -- Bloomfield won 26-24, 25-14

Advance 25 25, Puxico 14 13

The Hornets snapped a four-game losing streak with the conference win at home over the Indians.

Advance improved to 12-7-2 overall and 1-2 in the SCAA Conference. Puxico fell to 2-13-1 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

Hannah Shemonia notched 10 digs to pace the host Rams in the best-of-five barnburner loss to the Cubs.

Emma Cundiff provided six assists for Scott City (5-14). Bella Bowers and Bailee Lathum put up two blocks apiece for the Rams.

Bell City upped its record to 13-8-2 with the win.

Meadow Heights 25 25, Charleston 8 12

Sammantha Miles hammered seven kills to lead the Panthers in the win at home over the Blue Jays.

Meadow Heights improved to 6-10-2 with the victory, while Charleston fell to 1-14.

Oak Ridge 25 25, Marquand 6 13

Jessica Hahs served nine aces and had two kills as the Blue Jays had no problems disposing of the winless Tigers to get their second victory of the season in the conference road sweep.

Maci Schamburg served four aces and added two kills for Oak Ridge (2-15, 1-1 Mississippi Valley Conference). Taylor Bolin also served four aces for the Bluejays.

Marquand dropped to 0-14 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

NMCC 16 25 25, Cape Central 25 22 18

Brittany Guzman and Anne Wilferth each nailed nine kills as the host Tigers were unable to come away with the conference victory against the Eagles after winning the first set.

Kassidy Pannier dished out 18 assists and notched 10 digs for Cape Central (2-12-2, 1-3 SEMO Conference) while Kassidy Gowan tallied 13 digs.

New Madrid County Central upped its overall record to 14-8-1 and improved to 3-0 in the conference.

JV -- Cape Central won 25-19, 25-20

Zalma 25 25 29, Richland 22 15 27

The Bulldogs didn't drop a set to come away with the road win in a best-of-five match in Essex, Missouri.

Zalma improved to 7-10-1 while Richland dropped to 1-16 with the loss.

Jackson 8, Chaffee 6

Sophie Wunderlich hit a double and drove in two runs as the Indians edged the visiting Red Devils on senior night and notched their 10th win of the season.

Sicily Johnston picked up the win in the circle for Jackson (10-10). She pitched five innings and allowed six runs (two earned) on seven hits. She recorded four strikeouts.

Hannah Seyer went the distance and sustained the loss for Chaffee (7-10). She gave up six earned runs and struck out two.

Madalyn Bone blasted a solo home run to help lead the Dragons in the road win over the Pirates.

Wiley Lowry was the winning pitcher for De Soto (13-4). She gave up one earned run, struck out six and walked two.

Brandi Huber took the loss. She allowed three earned runs, struck out two and walked four to pace Perryville (8-10).

Alyssa Tidwell belted a triple to record the only extra-base hit of the game as the Hawks notched the road win.

Alexis Dock went the distance in the circle to get the win for Kelly (11-6). She recorded 14 strikeouts and walked two.

Lilly Jones added two RBIs for the Hawks.

Kylie Noe took the loss for Sikeston (7-14). She pitched a complete game, walked five and had no strikeouts.

Kylie Lane hit a double for the only extra-base hit of the game and was also the only multiple hitter, but it ultimately wasn't enough as the Tigers fell on the road to the Mules.

Calleigh Huffman suffered the loss in the circle for Cape Central (3-16). She pitched a complete game and allowed three unearned runs. She struck out two and walked one.

Adrienne Stucker went the distance to clinch the win for Poplar Bluff (12-5). She gave up one earned run and recorded 10 strikeouts.

Gage Reichmuth netted two goals and had one assist in the Dragons' road win over the Crusaders.

Ray Sherrer had one goal and two assists for De Soto (7-4). Grant Fauth scored one goal, and Cameron Knupp provided one assist for the Dragons.

Goalkeeper Billy Hinchey had 10 saves.

Saxony Lutheran dropped to 5-8-1 with the loss.

GIRLS TENNIS

Dexter 6, Jackson 3

Mikelle Culbreth, Katie Black and Molly Clark each won in singles play as the Indians dropped their last match of the regular season to the host Bearcats.

Jackson finished the regular season with a record of 8-9 while Dexter wrapped up its regular season with a record of 8-4.
