MALDEN, Mo. -- Malden authorities are investigating a Sunday shooting that left two adults critically injured and a young boy with minor injuries.

The victims apparently were shot during an altercation that took place Sunday evening in the 600 Block of North Kimball in Malden.

Police say the dispute was apparently over what appeared to be illegal gambling.

Malden police chief Jarrett Bullock said two people have been hospitalized in critical condition, and one young boy was released from the hospital after treatment for being grazed by a bullet.

No suspects are in custody, but police have identified two persons of interest in the case.
