Jeremiah Bankson

VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Jeremiah A. Bankson, 28, of Villa Ridge passed away at 7:25 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at his residence.

Jeremiah was born Dec. 6, 1986, in Cape Girardeau, son of Johnny Wayne Bankson and Lola Darlene (Huey) Bankson.

Jeremiah was a graduate of Century High School in Ullin, Illinois, and was a former deckhand with a river company in Cairo, Illinois.

Survivors include his father, Johnny Wayne (Brenda) Bankson of Villa Ridge; his mother, Lola Darlene Bankson (Mike Crow) of Mounds, Illinois; two brothers, Johnny Bankson of Fruitland and Joshua (Crystal) Bankson of Mound City, Illinois; maternal grandmother, Goldie Patrick of Ullin; four nephews and nieces, Jayden Leek Bankson, Zachary and Bynum Bankson and Tyie Heath; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge.

Funeral services for Jeremiah Bankson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Windings oficiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery east of Pulaski, Illinois.
