Firefighters responded to the following calls Monday:
- Medical assists at 9:15 a.m. on South Ellis Street; at 9:26 a.m. on Normal Ave.; at 10:13 a.m. North Henderson Ave.; at 4:29 p.m. on North Kingshighway; at 7:28 p.m. on William Street; and at 10:11 on South Silver Springs Road.
- At 10:04 a.m., electrical wiring/equipment problem on Saint Francis Drive.
- At 4:06 p.m., alarm system sounding on Corporate Circle.
- At at 5:17 p.m., smoke from barbecue or tar kettle on Pear Tree Court.
- At 6:24 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Independence Street.
- At 8:35 p.m., an unauthorized burning on South Sprigg Street.
