Southeast Missouri State assistant men's basketball coach Jamie Rosser has been terminated from his position due to a violation of university policies and procedures, the athletics department announced Wednesday afternoon.

Rosser coached at Southeast the last six years and was the only assistant that men's basketball coach Rick Ray retained from former coach Dickey Nutt's staff.

"Everyone in athletics is held to a high standard, and we expect them to comply with Southeast Missouri State University policies and procedures at all times," interim athletics director Brady Barke said in the release. "We are working quickly to return the coaching staff to full strength as the start of the basketball season quickly approaches."

A spokesperson for the athletic department said Barke was not available for further comment on Wednesday. Attempts to contact Rosser were unsuccessful by press time.

The Redhawks host Missouri S&T on Saturday for their lone exhibition game and begin the regular season at Dayton on Nov. 13.

Stone inks deal with Greece team

Former Southeast forward Tyler Stone has signed with A.G.O. Rethymno Aegean, a professional basketball team in Greece.

Stone was a three-year starter for the Redhawks and was a first-team all-Ohio Valley Conference selection as a senior. He earned second-team honors as a sophomore and junior and played last season for Sinpas Denizli Basket SK of the Turkish TBL League. He averaged 14.5 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists and steals a game as the team claimed the regular-season title.

Mike Ford named to FCS Watch List

Southeast cornerback Mike Ford was one of 32 defensive backs named to the College Football Performance Awards Championship Subdivision Defensive Awards Watch List on Wednesday.

Ford leads the Ohio Valley Conference with four interceptions and ranks 11th in the FCS in interceptions per game.

He is currently fourth on the team in tackles with 33, including 25 solo and two for loss.
