Mizzou change

Depending on your point of view, the so-called Ferguson effect has been and can be a force for constructive social change or result in a societal setback. My point of view is the former and was made manifest at the University of Missouri.

McNeely

Southeast Missouri lost a great news man in Don McNeely. I'm sorry to hear of his loss. I grew up with him and KFVS. He also delivered my 1973 graduation speech in East Prairie. He was a awesome man and will truly be missed.

Street walking

I am very concerned about an issue that keeps occurring here in Cape. In more than a few parts of town, it is not unusual for kids, teens, and even adults to walk down the middle of the street, even though there are sidewalks on both sides. In recent weeks, I've had to wait behind two to four people strolling right down the middle of the road near Broadway on several occasions.
