Harvey Allen "Pete" Ivie Jr., 80, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of East Prairie and Sikeston, Missouri, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at his home.

Born on May 15, 1935, in East Prairie to the late Harvey Allen and Cleo Lindsay Ivie Sr., he was retired from Tetra Pack after 38 years of service. On Nov. 9, 1957, in Hernando, Mississippi, he married Nadine Belvin, who survives of the home.

He was of the Assembly of God belief and had served in the United States Army.

Additional survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Mark Ivie of Memphis, Tennessee, Tony and Beverley Ivie of Cape Girardeau and Michael and Karen Ivie of Richmond, Virginia; one brother and sister-in-law, George and Joy Ivie of East Prairie; and one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Russ Jones of East Prairie. Also surviving are six grandsons, Matt, Ben, Nick, Ryan, Josh and Dominic Ivie, and one granddaughter, Amelia Ivie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Otis Ivie and L.B. Ivie; two sisters, Dathel Woodard and Juanita Britt; and one grandson, Devon Ryder Ivie.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

The funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mike Cartwright, pastor of the Canalou Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Matt, Ben, Nick, Ryan and Josh Ivie and Steve Eaves.
